sneak peak of what I'm working on this afternoon

So after being on hiatus for like 3 months due to moving house and getting a nasty case of the shingles I am finally settling back into a normal routine with my art again. Starting 2012 off to a good start. I am on a roll so far with starting on some bunny rabbits for the spring. This gal pictured here will be dressed in shades of soft yellows, blues, and dark beige. I will be adding lots of pretty tulle, ric rac, and beautiful storybook fabric. She will eventually be put in my Etsy shop for sale. So today I finished this gal! She is made from tightly stuffed muslin and stained with pure vanilla extract. She is dressed in shades of cream, white, and pale pink. She is built on an antique wooden sewing bobbin painted pink. Her wings are machine quilted and attached with two buttons to her back, Her hair is made from chocolate brown premium mohair needle felted to her head. Her halo is made from wire with gold ribbon wrapped around it. And lastly she hold a hand stamped cardstock banner that reads PEACE. I think she turned out beautifully! She will be available at an upcoming craft show I will be participating in on November 19th at the Church of the Holy Cross in Stateburg, South Carolina. Watch this space for more details!

Back on Blogger

So I will be back on here regularly now. Have been concentrating more on my Facebook page the past few months but my business is picking up so I am going to do my best to update both  Facebook and my blog! I have been working on Christmas dollies and raggedys the past month or so as you can probably tell from some of the new pics I have posted on the sides of this page :D  I have a craft show coming up! Yay! I will have a table at the historic Church of the Holy Cross annual winter bazaar on November 19th. Come on out and do your Christmas shopping and buy handmade! There will be lots of fun stuff going on and lots of handmade items for sale. The church is located in Stateburg, South Carolina. That about wraps it for today will be updating more as the weeks go on with more details about the show and my latest work.

been very busy today :D finished these 3 lovely gals for next week's craft fair. If you like my work you should stop by my table! I will have an assortment of neat dollies mainly spring themed like bumblebees, flowers, bunnies, and feathered creatures. The craft fair will be held at Shaw Air Force Base Community Center April 2nd from 9AM-4PM. If you are not a military ID car holder you will need to get someone who is to sign you on base. busy busy busy!!!

I have been a busy bee today! I am busily preparing for an upcoming craft fair so I have been sitting sewing all day. I got ten dollie bodies sewn up....just need to add arms then I can start on the fun stuff like painting them and making their clothes! I am just waiting to hear back from the ESC for confirmation that I will have a table....even though I don't have confirmation yet I figured I'd get a head start as the fair is on April 2nd.....so I don't have much time! I wanted to get all the bodies sewn up quick so I can spend the next 2 weeks taking my time to decorate them....because as you probably know, art takes time you can't rush it if you want a fabulous end result! So anywho watch this space for more details on the craft fair!

craft fair

hello everyone! chilly but beautiful morning here in South Carolina! I got an email about the Shaw AFB ESC craft show coming up in April! I usually do it every time they have it. It is juried this year so I have been putting together my entrance packet so I can hopefully be in it! If I am in it I will have lots of springtime dollies available! bumblebees, flower dolls, etc! I will just be waiting to hear back so stay tuned!
